Long time friends, Lisa and Tom Merlin formed Home Helpers of Northeastern Illinois to help meet the in-home care needs of seniors. All three partners are rooted in traditions of family businesses. Running a successful in-home care business requires the same personal touch, hands-on operational approach they utilized in their previous customer service businesses. Helping seniors and their families maintain or improve their quality of life by remaining in their home utilizing quality caregivers has been an uplifting benefit.

Home Helpers of Northeastern Illinois is licensed as a Home Services Agency by the Illinois Department of Public Health. The company is a proud member of the Des Plaines, Skokie, Park Ridge and the DBR Chambers of Commerce. The owners are Certified Senior Advisors as well as the Alzheimer's Associations Best Friends Approach Train the Trainers.

The mission of Home Helpers is to relieve the stress that comes with making a decision about who is going to provide care when a family caregiver longer provide the care their loved one needs and deserves. The free in-home consultation can evaluate the situation and match the client's needs with a customized care plan. We have become the source of caregiving we wish we knew about when we needed help with our aging parents.
